I would like to draw your attention to the Urban Greenhouse Challenge organized for the third time by Wageningen University & Research.

In this unique, multidisciplinary competition students are challenged to develop an urban farming site that significantly improves the quality of life of local residents in one of the most diverse lower-income neighbourhoods of Washington D.C.

Participation in the Urban Greenhouse Challenge offers students the opportunity to develop their professional and entrepreneurial skills in a multidisciplinary environment, while being empowered to create change.

In previous challenges and events, contributions from the ELLS university students have always been very valuable. Unfortunately, for this edition, we have no participants from SGGW yet, what we think is a pity!

As you are the contact person for Bioeconomy at ELLS for SGGW, I would like to ask you if you could share this information with your students. For instance, by forwarding or sharing this email or by showing Challenge’s trailer during a break at one of the lectures.

It would be great to have some SGGW students join the challenge!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you in advance!

Kind regards,

On behalf of the WUR Student Challenges team,

Marijn Wever
